Abstract
Hydrogels are water-insoluble crosslinked hydrophilic networks capable of retaining a large amount of water. Characterization studies established that the hydrogel provides a controlled and uniform distribution of nanoparticles within the polymeric network without addition of any further stabilizer. Synthetic polymer hydrogels constitute a group of materials, used in numerous biomedical disciplines, and is still developing for new promising applications. The aim of this article is to present a concise review on the introduction and applications of hydrogels and nanohydrogel in drug delivery system
