Withanolides are concentrated in both the roots and leaves of the ashwagandha plant. Traditionally, the roots would most often be used for internal medicine, while the leaves were used topically. It's classified as an adaptogen, meaning that it can help your body manage stress. Enoxolone is a pentacyclic triterpenoid aglycone metabolite of glycyrrhizin, which is a product of the plant Glycyrrhiza glabra (licorice), with potential expectorant, and gastrokinetic activities. The developed UVVisible Spectrophotometric method for the simultaneous estimation of Withanolides and Enoxolone in the tablet dosage form in the solvent system methanol and distilled water 1:1 ratio give proper estimation of percentage label claim of marketed product
