Abstract
Objective to examine the phytochemicals present in the bark of Madhuca indica. Phytochemical screening of the bark was done to determine the secondary metabolites in various solvents studied. The phytochemical study on the bark of Madhuca indica proved the presence of phytochemicals such as alkaloids, steroids, triterpenoids, glycosides and saponins. The findings of present study suggested that bark of Madhuca indica have potential phytochemicals that may be of use for developing plant based drugs for various diseases
